Egyptian Walking Onion Bulbs

Have you ever wanted infinite green onions or shallots? Well you have found the plant for you! Egyptian Walking Onions are a PERENNIAL onion. They are hardy to zones 3-10. They are called walking onions because of they way they propogate. Instead of propgating via true seed they just reproduce via clonal bulblets at the top of their stalks. The weight of the bulblets pulls the stalks down to the dirt allowing the bulbs to root and “walk” away from their clonal parent. The green stalks are commonly used similar to greenonions as scallions and the bulblets/bulbs can be used as shallots in soups and other dishes.
